Moving Update
Ok, so we officially booked the movers for August 29th. I have house cleaners coming on the 30th to do a thorough cleaning and carpet cleaners coming the 31st. Our renters are coming over this Friday to sign the lease and then they are moving in on the 1st. Lanie and I (and probably Kathy- oh and the cats, too) will be flying out on the 28th or 29th. Ben will come when he is done with training the new owner which will either be the 8th or 15th. Garage sale will be both days this weekend. Next week will be packing, getting the cats to the vet, tying up all loose ends... Am I forgetting anything?

im glad you found my blog, because i had tried to e mail you last summer when i had to change my e mail address, but they kept coming back. maybe something got through, i dont know. but anyway, yay!

Hi! Thanks, Sarah. Yes, we are moving to Salem. We decided to about a year ago and we have been in the long process of selling our business and house. The house sale never happened so we are renting it out instead. Business sale will be final by the end of the week. We'll definitely have to get together when we get out there. I should be there by the 1st and Ben by the 15th or so.

I think you need to contact all of the utilities people so that the change from you to the renters will be seamless.
Ok, it is official. I booked the plane tickets last night. I was only able to book one of the cats because Jet Blue has a policy where only 4 pets are allowed on the plane and only 3 of those 4 can be booked via phone/internet and the other is to be booked at the airport. Anyway, 2 were already booked, I got the 3rd spot and we'll just bring the other cat and hope that we are able to get that 4th spot. If not, Ben will just take one of the cats home and fly out with it when he comes.
I'm pissing my pants with excitement right now!! I was worried that something would go terribly wrong while I've been on vacation...Remember how Amy always thinks I'm going to accidentally kill one of my kids while she's on vacation...hmm, it must run in the family.
that is the strangest policy I have ever heard of... what will happen if all the spots are booked when Ben flys? (I'd leave Jordi if I got in a pinch)

Hey, San Diego is officially in the Street Views world of Google Maps. I haven't found you yet. But check it out and see if your (old!) house is in the blue area...
Jere: I just checked the map... they did the street around the corner from my house but nothing else in my town. I am way north of the city (about 30-40 minutes driving). Follow the 5 N and then head east on 78.
