Today I was invited to Emma's classroom as her honorary "special friend." It was SO cute and, in typical Smith form, I became completely forklempt when the kids gathered into a circle to sing songs for the grandparents and special friends. She made me a beautiful butterfly magnet, a special paper about why I'm special to her, and a hand-painted, pumpkin-shaped picture frame with her picture in it.
Next week I get to go to Sophie's class as her special friend, too. I sure have cute nieces!!!
