Oh, sorry Jere. They were called "Zubaz." I've never heard of them but was thinking that maybe I was too young to remember the term and was hoping that you'd know for sure.
That's crazy, I totally thought of Zubaz pants. But since I think of them as those really loose sweatpants, I though that couldn't be the answer. You remember that Seinfeld where they were lost in the parking garage, and Elaine asks the bodybuilders to drive them around? One of those guys was wearing Zubaz. They were all the rage amongst NFL teams for a while, too.
Remember the Tae Kwon Do guy in Napoleon Dynamite? He says, in reference to the USA Zubaz he was wearing, "You think anybody wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys?"

If it's London, it's gotta be Princess Di.
Correct!
JFJ: For the Orange pie-
What did Don Stock and Bob Truax call the expanding shorts they created to accommodate the ever-bulging muscles of bodybuilders?
Hmmmm....
I don't know why they wouldn't have just called them "Truax," ha.
I'll say Spandex. I wish I knew the year. Like, if it were "...in 2003" I wouldn't say Spandex. But I guess I'm stuck with it.
I would have guessed Sophia Loren for some reason... I briefly thought Princess Di but was like no it can't be her.
