My Zima story:

In college, my dorm was 13 stories high by like 40 rooms wide. Influenced by when the Prudential building spells out GO SOX or a big number 1 in lights, I devised a plan where I'd map out a word to "spell" on the building. Then a friend and I wrote a letter, made like 500 copies, telling each individual room on the front side of the building to turn their lights either on or off at a certain time. We went to each floor, at like 3 AM, running down the hall, slipping the notes under each door.

But what word to use? It had to be short. This was '93, it was college, so... Zima! I never drank but I knew if we did a popular thing people would want to do it again. So, that night, we went outside, maybe 50 people came out, and you could see where it was supposed to say Z-I-M-A, but, unfortunately, only if you were looking for it. We did it one other time, with the Ninch Inch nails logo. The NIN in a rectangle. Similar results. Somewhere, I have pictures of NIN *kinda* spelled out on a building.
