Just Like Home

Tonight marks the night that this new town is starting to feel like home. I found and shopped at the local Target.

It's just not home until you find the nearest Target.

Hey, here's an advantage of the Sound compared to up in the above-Boston area: The water is much warmer! (Not a lot of waves, though....) It does depend on the year, though--sometimes it just never warms up, but a couple years ago, I was swimming in the Sound in early October.

It still ain't southern California, though.

Southern California was surprisingly chilly, too. I think people assume (well, I did at least) that it would be more tropical like Florida. It isn't. It is definitely warmer than the Atlantic in the New England area, though.

We've been riding our bike to the beach/Sound a lot to play in the sand. Can't wait for summer!

All three on one bike? :)

re SoCal waters: Interesting.

Ha! That would be a sight! I guess I was thinking me and Lanie and she sits in the trailer attached to my bike.

"We like our bike. It is made for three. Our Mike sits up in back you see. We like our Mike and this is why. Mike does all the work when the hills get high." - Dr. Suess

Just read this to Lanie today so I had to share. : )
