Look what happened to our (only) car today while we were at the mall! Who does this? I'm supposed to be happy that they didn't actually steal anything, but I think that makes me more angry. That means someone is just a punk for no reason at all. I can't even imagine that level of thugness (thugdom, thuggery?) Or they were just too dumb to open the console and see the GPS? And, even if they were going for the GPS, why would they try to go through the back window? It doesn't even appear that they entered the car at all. To top it all off, we are up for very severe wind and rain tonight and I can't get an appointment until 9am tomorrow for a replacement window. I'm "pist"! (pist = pissed for those of you not in on the joke. I knew a girl in college from Long Island who actually thought that pissed was spelled like that.)

You would think, right. Well the cops said that although there is video surveillance, the tapes weren't recording that day. (What!?) He also said, even if it was caught on tape they'd only get a basic description because the camera was far away. Lame.
So, I got the new window in today. Our deductible was $250. The window cost $276. I'll spare State Farm the $26. So, even though this punk didn't steal from me technically, I say he did. I'm out almost $300!
that seems to be the police's official policy: "don't worry, nothing's being done to help you, and here's a list of excuses why." I'm waiting for the one crime where they actually say, "Oh good--we can solve that one EASILY. Give us five minutes. brb"
