Geni

I've been semi-interested in genealogical research for a while now, but haven't done much with it. Years ago, I joined ancestry dot com for a free, two-week trial and found a bunch of information from Nana Emma's family in Pennsylvania. I even spoke with a couple of very distant relatives through e-mail. Well, a few days ago, a cousin on my mom's side of the family started an online family tree at Geni.  I'm having a lot of fun with it. You invite your family members and each member can add and expand to it accordingly.

This is hilarious. I saw your post title and said to myself, "Oh, Geni--they sent me a Spam email today! Kara must've gotten the same email, clicked on the site, and got all into it." Then I read the post--and I'm realizing that must've been you that sent the mail. I didn't even open it! Now I gotta go back and see if it's still in the "recently deleted" folder...

Found it. And added to the tree. That's cool!

Jere: Ha! Funny about the email. Totally feel comfortable adding and changing things. I need to get a hold of my dad to get all of his aunts and uncles in there. I just knew Karl and Adeline. I'd love to find out the great-greats on that side, too.

Ben: Not sure how I feel about that. ; )
