With all of the conflicting reports and conspiracy theories, I'm still undecided about whether or not to get the vaccination. "They" recommend it for pregnant women and children. "They" also recommend it for all caretakers of infants younger than 6 months old. That means Ben, Lanie and I should all have it by the time "Mofomo" arrives since he/she won't be able to get it until at least 6 months of age. But all of the hype has me scared.

After a lot of flip-flopping, I finally got the shot for me and Lanie. The good news is that the antibodies will be transferred to Mofomo through the breastmilk and that will help to keep him/her healthy. We had a close call last week when Ben's coworker and his entire family had it. Ben had some of the same symptoms but got over it quickly. Fortunately, we didn't get it.
