It's Official

We're moving! I just got back from CT after signing the lease. It's a done deal. We'll move in on April 1st. The town is very cute and perfect for families. The beach is 2 blocks away and the streets are quiet and well-suited for bike rides. Even though I'm not happy to move away from here, I do think we'll be happy in our new place. We'll see what happens in a year. Maybe we'll be headed back this way for good.

ps: I forgot to take pictures of the house. The current tenants are still there and packing so it was a mess anyway. I did get a couple quick shots of the little beach down the street that I'll post when Ben gets home on Wednesday. (I forgot my camera in that car). There is also a larger beach on the other side that has a giant playground for kids. I know we'll be there a lot.

Wow, [the year May 1, 2007-April 30th, 2008], the year the NH Smith cousin moved to Fairfield County, CT, and the Fairfield County, CT cousin moved to the Boston-area. Weird.

You're one town away from the next county--I hope you can somehow steal their cable or something, to get NESN. Or just get a dish, I guess. The thing that really stinks is that in that county, even if you have a dish or the MLB cable package, or mlb.tv, you'll get the Red Sox games, but when they're playing the Yankees, you will only see it on the Yanks channel.

So weird! It's kind of a bummer that we only lived near each other for such a short time. Hopefully we'll see you lots when you are in town visiting. And we'll be going to NH lots, too!

Ben definitely wants to get the MLB package so he can catch Padres and Red Sox games. Does Fairfield County get NECN, too? Another strange Fairfield County thing is that you have to go through New York's Craigslist to see Fairfield County stuff. Not Connecticut. It's barely hanging on to New England!

This latest development is completely unacceptable to me. Please make other arrangements as soon as possible.

As usual, this is Mel signed in as the big guy...

I knew it was you, Mel. Yes, this is a very strange turn of events. It is so not what I thought would happen in my future.

Danbury got NECN. It was my one bastion of Red Sox-ness there. I don't know why they just can't add NESN. Plenty of areas overlap. My parents in New Haven get the Red Sox, Yanks and Mets. But they can't just add in New England Sports Network to that final county of New England??

August 5th, Padres at Mets. Take the Whitestone Bridge.
